Through launching a local group, you join the Mobilization Network for Health Equity — a community of health professionals dedicated to health equity. The Mobilization Network will give you tools to organize a group in your community to advance health equity issues both locally and nationally.
In addition to helping us collectively advance health equity, local groups bring people together who care about similar things. Organizing can take many forms. You could get together socially — for example, starting a book club or film night — and the Mobilization Network will also give you tools and training to take strategic action.
Becoming an organizer would mean getting more involved in the Mobilization Network for Health Equity, and volunteering some of your time. A first step is organizing meetings and events for Mobilization Network for Health Equity members who live near you to get together.
As one of the organizers, this website allows you to:
- email all members of the group
- create events
- post a message on the website for other Mobilization Network for Health Equity members
- email a Mobilization Network for Health Equity staff member
- delete offensive messages on the website in line with the Mobilization Network for Health Equity comment policy
